1About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of OwlPath, operated by Forge Gate Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17196398), trading as OwlPath ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using OwlPath, you agree to these Terms. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Forge Gate Limited.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

2The service

OwlPath is a career coaching platform that uses artificial intelligence to analyse professional profiles against job descriptions, provide coaching suggestions, generate cover letters, prepare interview strategy, and surface career intelligence based on your search history.

AI-generated content — important disclaimer

All analyses, coaching suggestions, cover letters, interview content, and career intelligence are generated by AI systems. This content:

• —Does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or employment guidance
• —May contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
• —Does not guarantee any specific employment outcome, interview, or job offer
• —Should be reviewed and adapted by you before use

You are responsible for all content you submit and all decisions you make based on OwlPath's output.

3Your account

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use OwlPath.

Account security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@owl-path.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Email verification

A verified email address is required to access OwlPath.

One account per person

Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free plan limits or trial restrictions is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

4Subscriptions and billing

Plans

OwlPath is available on Free, Basic, and Pro plans. Features and pricing are described on our Pricing page.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payments are processed by Paddle. By providing payment details, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle.

Pro free trial

New Pro subscribers receive a 4-day free trial. By starting the trial, you request immediate access to Pro features and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 applies from the date your trial begins. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time via Settings → Billing → Open billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused days.

Price changes

We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

5Your content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit — your profile text, job descriptions, and other materials. By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of providing the service.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit does not infringe any third party's rights and that you have the right to submit it.

6Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• —Use OwlPath for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• —Create multiple accounts to abuse free plan limits or trial periods
• —Attempt to access another user's account or data
• —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from OwlPath
• —Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• —Use the service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• —Upload another person's personal data without their consent
• —Use AI-generated output to deceive employers by misrepresenting your qualifications

7Intellectual property

The OwlPath platform, including its design, code, branding, and methodology, is owned by Forge Gate Limited and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission.

AI-generated output (analyses, cover letters, interview content) is provided to you for your personal use. We do not claim intellectual property rights over content you submit.

8Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• —OwlPath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• —We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate
• —We are not liable for any employment decisions made based on OwlPath's output
• —Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim
• —We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including lost earnings or lost job opportunities

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

If you are a consumer (not a business), you may have additional statutory rights under UK consumer law that these Terms do not affect.

9Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a way that harms other users or the platform. Where reasonable, we will give you notice before termination.

You may close your account at any time from Settings. On closure, your personal data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of OwlPath after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
